Rest In Peace Ralph Cosiano

age 86, of Seven Hills, Ohio, passed away peacefully on November 11, 2020 at the Holy Family Home in Parma, Ohio. Ralph was born in Cleveland on December 23, 1933 to Pasquale and Martha Coschignano. He graduated from John Adams High School in 1952 and received a BA from Ohio University in 1956. While there, he was a member of the Phi Kappa fraternity and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He went on to receive a law degree from Western Reserve University in 1959. He practiced law in Cleveland for 25 years and was a magistrate at the Cuyahoga County Probate Court for an additional 25 years. He was welcomed into the Case Western Reserve University School of Law Barristers Golden Circle in 2009. Ralph married Gaytana on April 19, 1958. They were married for 62 years and raised six children. He was a charter member of the Southwest Italian American Club and an active member of the Seven Hills Democratic Club, St. Leo the Great Catholic Church and the Seven Hills Civil Service Commission. He enjoyed gardening, golf, opera, traveling, was an avid reader, and a lifelong Cleveland Orchestra, Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns fan. He was well known for his love of God, great intellect, sense of humor, love of language, interest in anything Italian and enthusiastic story telling. More than anything, he enjoyed spending time with his family. Ralph is survived by his high school sweetheart and loving wife Gaytana "Tannie" (nee Iacano). He is lovingly remembered by his children, Angela Broadbent (Barry), Martha Considine (Kevin), Patricia Cosiano, Joanne Zoller (Robert), Mary Fazekas (David) and Patrick Cosiano (Debbie). He is the beloved Papa of Benjamin and Amelia Broadbent, Erin Walker (Robert), Christopher Considine (Lauren), James and Kathryn Zoller, Matthew and Patrick Fazekas, Brooke, Haley and Alex Nelson, and loving great-grandfather of Fallon and Felicity Walker. He is survived by two beloved brothers, Dr. Frank Cosiano (Mary Jane) and Dr. Patrick Cosiano (Angela). Ralph is preceded in death by his dear cousin Frank Chinigo (Bessie,deceased), his parents, sisters-in-law Frances Ventura, Rose Derry and Jenny Flauto and brothers-in-law Frank, James, John and Joseph Iacano. He was an admired and respected father-in-law, brother-in-law and uncle and trusted friend of many. Ralph's family wishes to thank the Jennings Center for Older Adults Assisted Living of Garfield Heights and Holy Family Home Healthcare and Hospice in Parma. Memorial contributions may be forwarded to either of these organizations or St. Leo the Great Catholic Church. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, a private funeral service will be held on Monday November 16 at 10 a.m. and livestreamed at www.Leothegreat.org.
