William E. Hinton, age 84, passed away August 2, 2020. He was a devoted husband of 57 years to Betty A Hinton (nee Augustine), and a loving father to William Hinton Jr. (deceased), Judy (Joseph) Mackey , Sharon (Dean) Kobal , Debbie Franklin, Tim Franklin, and Tyron Franklin.
He was a dear grandfather of Brett, William (Kelly), Bethany (Jonathan), Alivia, Amy, Andrew, Tamikia Franklin, Samone (Kevin) Mathews, and Great grandfather to Mason, Julia, Jonathan, Asher, Grayson, Kayla, Isaiah, Elijah, Noah, and Kaden(deceased).
A brother of six, and an uncle and friend to many. He enjoyed life, and his grandchildren were his pride and joy. He worked at Conrail railroad company for 21 years, and volunteered at Metro Health, Deaconess Senior Center, and was a greeter at St. Leo for many years. He was also “senior” prom king.
Visitation will be held Friday 5-7:00pm at Yurch Funeral Home, 5618 Broadview Road, Parma, Ohio 44134. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 12noon at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 4940 Broadview Rd, Cleveland, OH 44109. PLEASE WEAR MASKS TO VISITATION AND MASS. Burial to be announced at a later date at Brooklyn Heights Cemetery.
