DOLORES ELIZABETH DEMPSEY (nee Whitehead), born 11-8-1923. Went home to the Lord on Sept. 17, 2016. Beloved mother of Bonnie-Lynn Kundrach (John, deceased) and Darryl Dempsey (Darla); grandma of Tracey Workman (Hank), Stacey Milam (Alden), John Kundrach III (Kristen Carapucci) and Dana Dempsey (Colin Cumberworth); great-grandma of Katlin Workman (Brandon Stofan) and Aaron Workman and Corrine and Tate Milam; great-great-grandma of Coen. Preceded in death by parents Robert and Dorothy Whitehead, brother Clarence (Frances, deceased) and sister Ruth. Also grandma Dolly to extended family the Nakhleh’s and Samara and Jonathan, she thanks you for all the hugs. Special pen-pal Georgie and Tim. Will be missed by her feline baby, Sassy. Retired executive secretary for the Higbee Company. She enjoyed traveling, bowling and spending time with family. She will be missed by family and friends. Would like to thank Holy Family Hospice and her caregivers from Tender Loving Care for all their help and support during this time. Memorial Mass at St. Leo the Great Church, 4940 Broadview Rd. on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2016 at 10 a.m. Private interment was held at Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations can be made to the APL or to the American Cancer Society, in memory of Dolores.
