Dear Parishioners,

       I forgot to mention in last weekend’s bulletin column that I will be away on vacation for a couple of weekends. I will return next weekend, November 19 & 20 and appreciate your hospitality toward our visiting priests. 

       While I was away, Father Gary Chmura celebrated the funeral Mass for Anne Wade, a parishioner I was able to visit and anoint shortly before she died. Anne was devout in her Catholic faith, and I enjoyed talking to her about our mutual friend, Sister Patricia Raelene, when she worked in the gift shop at Jennings. Anne’s husband Frank, to whom she was married for 64 years, died last year and I celebrated his funeral Mass in May of 2021. They have 7 children and several grandchildren, and I ask that you pray for them during this time of loss. Frank had been under hospice care through the staff at Jennings Center for Older Adults, the place where Anne had worked. May Anne and her husband Frank now rest together in the peace of Christ.
