'Table Talk' radio show featuring Bishop Perez to launch on AM 1260 The Rock

A new radio show called “Table Talk” that features Bishop Nelson Perez will debut at 5 p.m. April 12 on Cleveland’s Catholic radio station, AM 1260 The Rock.

Hosted by radio and TV veteran Dick Russ, the format for the hour-long show will be an informal conversation with the bishop. It will be rebroadcast several times. The show will look at a variety of general and timely topics of interest to the Catholic community in Northeast Ohio, as well as the wider population.

A main feature of “Table Talk” will be the opportunity for people to ask questions of the bishop.

“This is your opportunity to ask me about our diocese, our faith, our Church and the times in which we live. I will look forward to hearing what’s on the minds and in the hearts of the people of the Diocese of Cleveland,” Bishop Perez said, adding that he is pleased to have been invited to be a part of the program.

“Having an hour means we can give each issue or question the time it needs,” Russ said, “and Bishop Perez certainly does that. Our listeners will find this a great way to learn more about our faith, our diocese and the new bishop who is leading it.”

“AM 1260 The Rock is privileged to provide a unique opportunity for Bishop Perez to connect directly with our listeners, answer their questions, share his perspective on issues of the day and be present to the people of our diocese through Catholic radio,” said Bernadette Boguski, executive director of the station.
